There are no such things as ghosts

There are no such things as ghosts, he always use to say,
He remained as mulish as ever, even after our debate.
Never removed from his purpose, he decided to go to Mrighway,
Which was the most haunted place in London, for that is what they say.

He did not yield to our entreats, and remained a fathead as ever.
The day drew to a close, and night resided on the scene,
The winds screamed and the trees danced,
And the rain, Oh! It was terrible.

In he went through the door, to show his face to the darkness,
He had to reach the window above, which looked out through the attic.
He felt himself tremble, Like he had done never before.
Slowly he reconsidered tracing his steps back, Boom! What was that he heard?

A peal of thunder like he had never heard before?
He trembled and shook and was wet from head to toe,
Someone touched him on the shoulder,
Boo!! I am a ghost!

He seemed to be frozen for an instant, then he ran out like the wind.
Out of that house and back in his.
Now he never says, what he used to say before,
There are no such things as ghosts..!!
