What have you been eating lately??

Since when have you been trying to push yourself and your kids away from the McDonalds next door to something more fruitful if not all that gratifying to the tongue?

This work is a small take on the eating habits and trends of the people in the NCR region of the country. See where you can place yourself in this list. Let’s pick this up one category at a time.

If you are a modern mother living here for a few years then I think the last year finally struck a chord inside you to try some probationary measures with yourself and your kids, and make the menu comprise more of organic and healthy food and cut down on the fast food.

If you are teenager brought up here and has been allowed to devour junk for the first few years after your continued insistence to do so, then I think this year you or your family finally started noticing your imbalanced diet and lack of proper supplements.

Now, let’s take up the case of people who have shifted to the NCR from smaller towns and cities within the last couple of years to study and work. After binging on this junk diet for an year or two you tend to notice that your belly is now officially bulging out from your happily low jeans. This is the time when you finally try some abstinence of cutting it down by a couple of degrees, because you can’t exactly vanish it from your menu because you are here alone and cooking isn’t exactly your forte.

Next in line are newlyweds who are actually still enjoying the old flavour of fast food because your pretty wife will not be saying or objecting much on your eating habits for an year or two and neither will you. Who objects to going out every other day and enjoying the love in a nice restaurant?

Facing some serious opposition are husbands who have had a longer tenure of something more than four or five years, and have one or two small monsters roaming around the house. The newlywed fever is long gone and wives don’t want you getting the little ones into the habit of junk. So either they have to kiss their KFC chicken buckets and Chinese goodbye or make them a hidden guilty pleasure from their wives indulged only out of the house and in company of similarly tormented men.

Obviously there is another category of happy go lucky people with no regard for the huge bills or their huge belly, and they munch till they drop. That is a little anti social but never the less, very gratifying.

A very significant other category, who are one of the major consumers of fast food chains are students studying in colleges with their major pastime being hanging around with friends. The time spend is equally proportional to the food intake as you can’t sit around and talk with a parched throat or an empty stomach.

We’ll keep up the junk talk but I think talking about it just worked up my cravings. So I will catch up with you with some spicy gossip next time.

HellBoy....Red, Red, Red....

Have you seen the almost behorned red monster Hellboy? Well a tiny look will do you no harm. A cigar smoking, hammer handed, horn filling and tailed monster living in a metropolitan, hunting monsters for the FBI doesn't exactly settle well with the average stomach..
Guillermo Del Toro, the director, seems to have worked on the character giving it all the characteristics of and average girl stalking, jealous guy, however with a very high dose of attitude.
The make up consultant for Hellboy (Ron Perlman) ought to take away a lot of credit, though Ron Perlman seems to have done a good job on his part..Selma Blair has a pretty medium role with less lines and more special effects. John Mayers (Rupert Evans) has pretty much tried his best and played his innocent boy scout image to the character. However even though the performances are watch able, the story seems to hang around the horizon of unbelievable.
So if you really can take a good dose of fiction, the movie is worth a watch. Otherwise I would tell you to stick to some ground realities and choose something else to watch..

To my sister...

When i opened my eyes, somebody stood beside,
ogling at first with surprise,
then a gentle touch that tickled my feet,
i looked up and beheld thee.
a lifetime of love , and care beside,
she cared for me with a heart so alive,
now i've grown into an insolent pest,
troubling and squabbling over petty bets,
yet the love still remains pure,
same in my heart as it is in yours.
Love you just so much di...hope to have your hand on my head...for alll the years to come..she has been a sister, a parent , a guide ,a friend....and a lot more to me over all these 21 years of my life..she is one person extremely pure at heart to the extend of even being stupid at times....bt that is what she is..her love is her life force... when it comes to talent...she is the brainy kid...with abundent talent.... but there is something i want to say to you....dont lose yourself in the hustle and bustle of life..you are too good for that...

The Hangover...plz do go and watch...

Ever been so high that you can't remember a thing about what you did last night?
Well a director finally seems to have come up with one such pretty amazing story.
Seriosly I'm not going to go about how good the direction or the cinematography was..which was really good)...I'll say that this must is a must watch if you consider yourself somebody with a good sense of humour.
Seriously, this movie is all about humour...waking up to a bathroom with a tiger and a closet with a crying baby..and even a newly wedded stripper wife..this movie keeps you rolling in laughter with all the unintended turns it takes...

Nobody would have in their wildest dreams would have thought that after a night of drunken gambling at the Ceaser's Place at Las Vegas...you would end up losing the friend,in the course of the night, for whom this  bachelor's party was....or actually alsost destroying the precious Merc you drove to Vegas in...
I know I enjoyed this movie from the begging to the end...it is pure comedy..and a must watch for all those looking for some good humour and a great and funny time..

wish i could die first... get it out of the way.
then live the next twenty years in an old age home...(if i'm destined a life that long...hope not...just keeping the options open)...
then get kicked out when you are too young to stay....get a gold watch, you go to work.
work for the next fourty years (sheesh...) ..hope then i'm young enough for a retirement....

STRUGGLE FOR LIFE

A small urchin of the wings of fancy,
A little joke of the whims of life,
What was the mistake of that little kid,
Brought in this world and to life?

With no love to speak of,
No friends as such,
How do you think,
He can survive in this world?

He longs for a hand rising in support,
Coming to rescue him from the pain,
To save him from the daily struggle,
To raise him above this world so mundane.

It was never his crime,
It just wasn’t his day.
He just got himself trapped,
In this ruthless and selfish play.

Everyday it claws at his heart,
Drawing away his sleep every night,
His heart is all cut up,
Too damaged to repair.

May be these are words too few,
But I guess I have laid my point,
Whatever the circumstances may be,
Be firmly on his side.

For once, if you have any care for this world,
Lay your hand upon his head for once,
You will see the difference it will make,
In this dreadful life which he goes through everyday.

Just for once, give him some love,
It will keep his spirits buoyed up,
For you and I and all of us know,
Love is what that will one day show.

...Detached...

You don't know how my heart shrinks inside,

Everytime i feel you are not nearby.

How with everyday my heart intones,

That very request that same prayer.

It is not in the tears that fall from the eyes,

It is the love that becomes boundless with every sigh.

Feeling that distance between us,it screams everytime,

Wanting to run into your arms, where it feels so divine.

It does not blame or curse any situation,

But prays for deliverance from all that life sakes.

It lives in the light that fills it with love,

Within every moment it multiplies that thirst.

Its wish for a prolonged union it reiterates with every breath,

As it holds on to whatever it is that life bequests.
